Chickenpox: a problem for all children

I remember well when I had chicken pox. It was small and dying every scratch, but I restrained myself pretty well. Who does not remember those times?

Chickenpox in children and infants is characterized by fever and rash famous. The most complex is that it is very easy to drive and therefore have to be careful as it is for other contagious.

The most common first symptom to watch are the eruptions. They are buds with vesicles or blisters all over the skin. This includes the scalp, genitals and even the mouth.

Usually, it will also be accompanied by high fever, intense itching, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.

Chickenpox is caused by a herpes virus called varicella-zoster group. This virus spreads from person to person through coughing or sneezing, but also by direct contact through tissue or skin lesions.

It is therefore very likely to be infected between family and is good if one of her children fell ill with chickenpox, keep your other children the contract. Between school and family, the probability of infection is very high: over 90%.

Sadly, the chickenpox does not have a cure. Basically point and wait. That is, the disease is controlled based antipyretics (specific antivirósicos) and an antihistamine to reduce itching mode. And simply it must be that the child is toilet trained most of the time, keep your skin clean, keep nails short to avoid scratching injuries and infections, and mostly quiet.
